Cheyenne loves to swim she will be out into the water and swim around & around. As a pup her natural swimming abilities and love for the water was greater than I've ever seen in any puppy including all breeds Labrador retrievers etc., this is why her profile picture is of her swimming. Ten weeks old Cheyenne exhibited strong hunt prey and excellent scent recognition and we have built upon that creating a great upland dog. Cheyenne has an Amateur Flushing Championship title in the National Upland Championship Series, with her abilities she will win more championship titles. Cheyenne is a tri-color being liver color, white & tan and weighs 39 lbs.

Cheyenne at the young age of 2 months old took a trip with the other dogs to WV and she enjoyed her surroundings, sounds and boldly retrieves chukars. At two months old Cheyenne is a very confident, out going puppy that has strong hunt prey drive, as she eagerly retrieves a quail.

Cheyenne is absolutely a natural swimmer at 3 1/2 months old she boldly jumped into the water, surfaced immediately level out and swam after the other dogs. Cheyenne never doggie paddled just flat out excellent swimmer. Cheyenne swam for 45 minutes as a pup once without coming ashore I was worried and had to throw retrieves on land to get her out of the water and leashed her to make sure she rested.

October 2018 PF youth hunt young Cheyenne is a guide dog for the kids during the upland hunt. Pictured above a pheasant was flushed from cover the kids got a hit on the pheasant, Cheyenne did an excellent job marking where the pheasant went down and went into the cover found it and retrieved it to hand.

The hunt included chukars & pheasants Cheyenne's nose and search she easily found & flushed the upland birds. Every bird that was hit Cheyenne was able to mark and recover for the kids, 3 pheasants and 3 chukars pictured. Young Cheyenne's first trip out west she enjoyed the ride out and especially the extended time in the field upland hunting.

Usually the cover is high and or cattails which isn't conducive to taking a good picture while the dog is working cover, but this grown up pasture did allow me to get a few pictures. The dogs did put up a rooster here and there on the edges of the field the we bagged.

Ohio youth waterfowl hunt early October 2019 Cheyenne made three water retrieves retrieving the three ducks that the kids shot. Cheyenne has done very well on all upland birds and turning into a good waterfowl dog.

November 2022 Cheyenne in Western South Dakota did a very nice job finding the cover that the birds were in flushing pheasants within range marking shot birds tracking those pheasants down and retrieving to hand.

November 2023 Cheyenne on an Indian Reservation in western South Dakota hunting wild pheasants. Cheyenne really enjoys the bird hunting working hard the entire time she is in the field staying well within range flushing pheasants and quickly going to a shot pheasant getting it before it can hide or escape and retrieving birds to hand.
