Dot had a good run she easily finds chukars or any upland birds, flushing them and very quickly retrieving shot birds to hand. |
October 8, 2023 there were 37 entries in the Amateur Flushing and Dot was able to win as she continues to handle very well, quickly finding birds and retrieving to hand. Dot is a pleasure to hunt behind. |
Dot had the fastest run of the day, and ended up with a great run but it took 2nd. I had to call a safety on one bird because the shot would have been at a house. One more shot bird would've gave us the win or simply 6 seconds faster. Either way, Dot really has come around to be one excellent competition bird dog, doesn't matter if they're quail, chukar or pheasants her ability to find them and retrieve them to hand is superior. |
April 2024 Dot is really coming around she is fast in the field. Dot very quickly covers ground and if there are any upland birds she finds them. Dot's enthusiasm at making retrieves really shows at running birds down even on the longest of retrieves and then bringing them back to hand. |
April 14th 2024 Dot laid down another great run, she has really become a consistently fast dog in competitions. Dakota, Dot's Sire made the winning run with a Lab Aru getting 2nd. On Saturday Dot got 1st & Sunday 3rd, and Dakota 2nd Saturday and 1st on Sunday. Dot & Dakota were the only two to place in the top 3 each day. |
Dot & Dixie ran the field very nicely each dog getting excellent coverage of their area, both quickly finding birds. When a chukar was flushed and shot, each dog honored the other dog's retrieve. Dot & Dixie are related, Dixie's Grand Sire is Dakota and Dot's Sire is Dakota. |
April 28, 2024 Dot's nose was amazing as she ran the field that had feathers from previous chukars, scent from shot chukars, shotgun hulls, other dogs scent, ATV scent, etc. and none of that distracted her from locating live chukars. Dot found three chukars and made retrieves to hand in an amazing time at 2:54. |
Dot has the right combination of excellent nose, brains, drive, team player. Dot quickly, effectively moves through the fields keeping within easy gun range, finds flushes, marks downed birds, retrieves directly to hand and wins. Dot is up and coming!! |
Dot started of the bird dog competitions with a win. Time matters dogs need to quickly locate birds, flush the birds, retrieve to hand without the hunter moving. Which ever team can do it the fastest and "clean" wins. |
Excellent number of participants with several of the dogs we competed against being National Champions. Dot ability to find birds excells and she handles so well that I can do what I need for our team to win. |

| Dot had a very good and consistent performce this weekend at an upland bird dog competition. Dot's ability to recognize bird scent is amazing and she handles so well in the field. The 2nd place finish tied for 1st place then came down to the tie breaker which she obviously didn't get the win. | |

| This weekend event was on quail and Dot's extremely good scent recognition to find upland birds, flush, mark shot birds and promptly retrieve to hand keeps Dot either winning and or in the top three in bird dog competitions. | |
January 18th 2025 this event was on quail there were four National Champions and all the dogs where Labrador Retrievers except my English Springer Spaniels. Dot did an excellent jog but got nudged out and by two National Champions. |

| Quail were the upland birds of choice, whether quail, chukars or pheasants Dot will show her ability to locate birds by scent flush them, and quickly retrieve shot birds to. Dot is in the top three on a regular basis because her hunting abilities are so good. | |

| Dot excelled at the United Field Trialers Association National Championships held in Alabama February 2025. The rooster of dogs was mainly Labrador Retrievers with a few other breeds sprinkled in. Dot of course is an English Springer Spaniel and had an excellent run placing 3rd at a National Championship event. | |
April 26, 2025 Dot continues with an excellent performance bring home the win. This win gives Dot another Championship in the United Field Trialers Association "UFTA". |

Dot & Cheyenne did a wonder full job guiding at Elk horn Lake Hunt club March 23rd, 2024. There were 5 gentlemen and twenty pheasants were released Dot & Cheyenne repeatedly found & flush pheasants well within shotgun range and retrieved every bird to hand that was shot. This continued till all of their allotted pheasants were bagged. |
