Pepper
Pepper is a Black & White female from Leah the Dam & Royal Benny the Sire November of 2012. Pepper has been a very nice springer at home very friendly loving attention friendly with children and strangers. When in the field Pepper is a hard hunting true upland dog, she is long on drive and desire if there is a bird she will find it. Pepper quickly and thoroughly covers ground, quartering nicely she is amazing that she can keep up the hunting tempo for hours. When it comes to finding a downed bird her desire intensives, with Pepper's strong nose & speed it is rare for a downed bird to evade her. When top upland gundogs were unable to locate a running bird Pepper at a much younger age, has been successful at locate, catching & retrieving pheasants. Whether it be a water retrieve Pepper will eagerly swim for and retrieve birds, she is really becoming part of the A team when it comes to hunting.

3/17/19 at the Hunter's Trial South Cuyahoga Sportsmen's Assn. Eli Coble & Pepper won Gun Dog Flushing. About 4 1/2 months earlier 17 year Eli started competing in the bird dog circuit he needed an excellent bird dog in front of him that would easily handle with a dog he hadn't spent a lot of time with, Pepper was that dog. Pepper is a hard hunting, easy to handle dog that will retrieve right to hand. Their team work showed that day as there were guys with decades of bird dog experience that Pepper & Eli beat out. |

| Pepper had a truly solid performance at the National Upland Challenge Series "NUCS" 2019 Quail Blast. Pepper was finding, flushing and retrieving birds to hand with the fastest times even running down a flying quail that was shot at but not hit. In the Open Flushing Pepper had the highest qualifying score and in Call Backs Pepper again had the highest score. During NUCS Doubles Flushing Pepper was the work horse carrying the team to another first place. | |

| September 2013 at National Hunting & Fishing Day with multiple youths present Pepper as a pup was reluctant to get into the water, she wasn't shy about getting affection & attention from the kids. | Pepper's first hunting season and she came on strong with desire and is very solid around the gun. Pepper's nose for birds that is surprising, on one hillside where snow drifts were 4 feet deep and no pheasant tracks present she starts digging in the snow three deep she pulls out an alive pheasant. | When the first duck was shot Pepper did not hesitate to make that water retrieve. Pepper paused for a second checking out duck as waterfowl was new to her before making a nice retrieve to hand. | |||

| The next water retrieve was a little further out and Pepper easily marks and retrieves the duck to hand. Pepper is a versatile bird dog that readily transitioned from upland bird hunting to water fowling that includes water retrieves. | |||

| February 2015 a snow storm with string winds blew through during the hunt and interfered with our ability to see a shoot quail but didn't seem to interfere with Pepper's good nose at finding & flushing quail. | November 2018 at the Cheyenne Sioux Indian Reservation in Western South Dakota we limited out on pheasants daily. Pepper stayed in range flushing birds and finding those shot pheasants retrieving them to hand she is and excellent bird dog that is a pleasure to hunt over. | |||

November 2nd, 2019 the Nation Upland Challenge Series "Quail Blast" was held at Stony Creek Virginia. In the Flushing division Pepper handled by Eli Coble won by a comfortable margin with her speed in the field. |
October 2019 in the Upper Peninsula if Michigan our first ever woodcock / timber-doodle and ruffed grouse hunt. Every day we shot a variety birds and when Pepper was hunting she located every downed bird and retrieved to hand with not one loss bird. |

An early snow November 13, 2019 hunting public land in Northern Ohio, Pepper helped find & flush two rooster pheasants but I wasn't able to connect on them. It was a nice day hunting as the dogs quartered nicely and put the birds up within shooting distance. |
December 2019 Camille & Pepper working as guide dogs at a hunt preserve did an excellent job working in range putting up pheasants for clients that were within easy shooting distance and retrieving every bird that was hit. |
