Miles Springer Miles only hunts short hunts an hour or so and on cool days now as he is well over 11 years old. I thought I'd see how Miles compared to other competitions dogs so on 1-19-19 I competed him at a field trial. Well Mile's nose is still excellent as Miles found the Chukars quickly, flushed them and retrieved the shot birds directly to hand. Pictured above is Miles award.

On 4/06/19 at 12 years old Miles showed that he still has an excellent nose as he easily scented, found, flushed the birds and Mr. Miles retrieved the chukars to hand. Mr. Miles only does short hunts now but he really loves to hunt as he has strong hunt prey drive.

Mr. Miles went to western South Dakota pheasant hunting November 2018 at age 11 the cold weather favored him, he still has an excellent nose and strong hunt drive. The four English Springer Spaniels are from left to right Albert (Miles's grandson), Camille (Miles's daughter), Mr. Miles and far right is Cheyenne (Miles's granddaughter).

Thanksgiving 2018 Mr. Miles still has excellent hunting abilities, he will hunt good for a few hours then it's time for a rest. Miles is still an excellent upland bird dog.		Picture taken November 28, 2020 Miles was 13 years 8 months old and passed away in the house resting 12/18/2020. Miles was a very special dog to my daughter Eva as she was about 12 years old when Miles was born and a very special dog to me.
